Rosebud-Lott High School has been awarded the P-Tech Planning and Implementation Grant for 2021-2023. Rosebud-Lott ISD with its partners, Texas State Technical College and Butler Weldments, along with support from the Texas Education Agency will design and offer an early college program that will prepare Rosebud-Lott students for careers in the fields of welding and cyber security.

The first year of the P-TECH program (2021-2022) is the planning phase. In this phase, Rosebud-Lott ISD will work to create program policies, develop rigorous courses, establish partnerships, and upgrade facilities and equipment to offer P-TECH students college-level courses directed toward careers in welding and cybersecurity. Starting in school year 2022-2023, students will earn college credit toward an industry-recognized associate degree and recieve hands-on work experience in a field of study tied to in-demand occupations for our region.

The P-TECH program is offered at absolutely no cost to the students.
